I thought you might like to know a little bit about me. I am a daughter, sister, friend, mother, wife and partner.

I qualified as a solicitor in 1993. I quickly gained experience in medical (also called clinical) negligence work, realised that I had a flair for it and decided that I wished to specialise in it.  By 1999 I had set up my own company, Rostrons. This was based in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire specialising in medical negligence claims.

In 2009 I merged with Linder Myers a large Manchester-based firm. Unfortunately, my individual and tailored approach to my clients and their claims did not fit comfortably with a large city firm environment.

I left Linder Myers in June 2015 to join Addies as a Consultant. I have established a dedicated, specialised medical negligence team. I offer what I and others consider to be a unique service to my clients.

Being a solicitor is only part of what defines and colours my approach. As a child, the youngest of 10, I quickly came to realise that you have to treat people with kindness and care to get the best out of them. I also realised that sometimes life is just not fair. As a mother I appreciated for the very first time what being scared really means. As a sister and friend I learnt tact and diplomacy and that when presented with a brick wall came to realise that there are more ways round it than just straight over the top. As a daughter, wife and partner, I appreciate the importance of listening not just to what is being said but also to what goes unsaid.

It is not all about a claim. Families need local authority help, equipment, accommodation and therapies. I provide more than just a legal service. My approach is holistic. I recognise the needs of families and the help they may well require to battle with Local Authorities to obtain equipment, accommodation and therapies. I am aware of how lonely it can be caring for a severely damaged family member. I will provide help and assistance with issues far outside the actual claim.

Together with my team we are carefully pioneering and aggressive in the causes that we fight. We are meticulously prepared and deliver our clients cases forcefully and eloquently.

Our years of experience and expertise enables us to obtain results where other solicitors have failed.

" Having heard the factual matters and difficulties… It is a miracle  the Claimant recovered any damages at all. It is to her team's credit that a result was achieved. I have no doubt that it was the skill of the legal team that led to the settlement achieved"

This is a quote from a judge in January 2016 commenting upon the results I achieved  for my child client. We recovered an award of £6.6 million.

It is the combination of these skills and experience together with my legal knowledge, forensic analysis and understanding of medicine that has resulted in my national reputation for pursuing complex high-value medical negligence claims. I can succeed where others have failed.

The team

I have brought together a team of highly specialised lawyers and medical experts to assist me in my pursuit of justice for the families whose lives have been devastated by a medical accident.

Creating a team has taken time and perseverance, we have now worked together now for many years. Our trust and respect in one another results in meticulous analysis of our clients cases. With every member of the team, contributing to the overall success of the claim.
I believe the strength in our team is our unity.

In-house team

It is impossible to successfully pursue such complex, demanding claims without the support of a highly specialised and dedicated  in-house team.
I'm fortunate to have at my immediate disposal, medical, psychological, administrative, technological and logistical support.
