Rad underwent cardiac screening when he was 16 having been signed to Tottenham Hotspur. The purpose of the screening is to detect silent cardiac problems. An ECG demonstrated a potentially fatal problem. Neither Rad nor his parents were advised that the ECG was grossly abnormal. Some months later, whilst playing in a professional match, he suffered a cardiac arrest. He was deprived of oxygen for 16 minutes, leading to severe brain damage.

Here's Liam with his amazing wheelchair that raises him into a standing position, whether in the kitchen, on the dance floor or in the pub with his dad. This enables him to do everyday tasks that were previously impossible and Liam loves to cook now. The kitchen has been equipped specifically for him and there are many more adaptions throughout his home to help increase Liam's day to day independence.

Louise’s partner went into hospital over a bank holiday weekend in 2017 as a priority patient. He was suffering with symptoms of sepsis on day one of admission and should have been provided with antibiotics. Sadly, the hospital failed in its duty of care and he died just a few days later aged 45.
